We always speak of the void as this uncaring immutable place to scream grievances. The permanent stoic that bids you stare and stay, that it may turn you. May it withstand your everything to remain, nothingness. How cruel that must be. The void cant feel! You scream.. then why are there so many tiny bright dots amidst the soft drone of a heartbeat.

If you stare long enough.. it stares back. The unblinking. The art of being the single point of presence while entirely out of focus. As if to say, I see you. You, there. The tilt edge of a precipice. Is that even ground on which you stand. You've been there so long, you can see now. Light has a speed you know. So, what is it? Upon what do you stand here at the void. Where have thine found purchase? Is that even relevant at this point?

Point. For so long its been. The void to which you stare. Shy away soon lest it take you. Point. Let not your eyes adjust to this. The nothingness too overcome to bear. Pray not at this lack of view. Point. It is uncaring! Where not to be if there is no echo of proof. What to hear and yet unreachable. Point. Is there even any oxygen? Point. Do you no mind of the hands that brought you here. Point.

And there, waiting all this time. The aurora. The dust clouds. Scattered debris flung further than history could remember. How dare they call it the void, have not they reveled this embrace. What here to behold. As such to be breathless, lungs instead filled with wonder. Like tides come to calm home known only to those with which time is yet shown. Something for the others. Something to cause pause.
